All new clients will participate in a biopsychosocial assessment so we can understand your background and develop an appropriate treatment plan for you.


We offer 30, 45, and 60-minute individual therapy sessions


Join our team and clients who are struggling with similar issues for a group session


Visit with a therapist for 50 -minute sessions with your family and with or without the client


We offer intensive outpatient services for mental health and substance abuse issues

Don’t worry! Our clinicians are tuned-in to what you are comfortable sharing. In your first session, your therapist will ask you a series of questions to inform our collaborative treatment plan, which could be comparable to a blueprint. This will be your blueprint to healing and/or reaching your goals!

You get to choose what goes on your treatment plan!

You and your therapist will then decide an appropriate dose for continued sessions. Most often, new clients will come once a week for the first several weeks! This is a collaborative decision between you and your therapist.

Dispel some therapy myths.

Myth: Therapy is only for people with serious mental illness.

False! Therapy can actually be for anyone! All humans experience stress. Therapy could be a solution to managing stress, and creating more balance in one’s life no matter the obstacle (i.e., managing stress, increasing self-esteem, learning healthy habits, developing better communication skills, etc.).


Myth: If I’ve been to therapy before and it didn’t help, it won’t help now.


Nope! Every clinician has a unique set of skills that they bring to sessions. Therapists also adapt their skills depending on what the client needs! Therapists can help match your style of communication so you feel safe, trusting, and ready to grow!


Myth: Therapy is just like paying someone to listen to me “vent.”

 Yikes! Therapy can be many things. Yes, therapists are skilled in active listening. However, what many don’t see, is that when your therapist is listening they are also tuning into your story, tone, body language, personal goals, etc. A good therapist possesses the ability to take all of this into consideration and help you find answers within (Therapy secret: clients often already know what to do next!) We are trained to help you figure out what solutions work best for YOU.


Fact: Therapy is confidential. This means that nobody will know you are going to therapy unless you tell them!

Fact: People who attend therapy for help with a problem feel 80% better than those who do not attend therapy. Woah!

Our therapists are trained in EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, Sand Tray Therapy, Crisis Intervention, QPR Suicide Prevention, Matrix Model, trauma informed care, domestic violence and sexual assault, trauma specific interventions, and art therapy.

Grasshopper Group is located in downtown Vincennes, Indiana on the corner of Broadway and 2nd Street. We provide in person individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy.
